James Prewett
Born in Bristol, I first started working in pharmacy around studying for my A levels then graduated from the University of Bath in 2015 where I studied with Jae and qualified as a pharmacist in 2016.
During my time with Boots I provided a wide variety of services including providing children’s flu vaccinations in schools, travel vaccination clinics and meningitis vaccinations.
I was then employed as a lecturer by the University of Bath, teaching on the Undergraduate pharmacy course. Primary fields of teaching included clinical workshops and consultation skills as well as running interprofessional learning workshops on Paediatrics with medical students from the University of Bristol.
I have managed successful pharmacies for multiple companies across Bristol and in 2021 completed a Postgraduate Certificate in primary care pharmacy to develop my clinical knowledge. To follow on from this I am due to start studying the Independent Prescribing qualification at UWE in September 2023 with the aim of joining the prescribing team in early 2024.
When outside of work I can generally be found either with my wife & young daughter looking after our pony, walking our dogs or down Ashton Gate watching Bristol City or Bristol Bears. I am also a keen runner having completed many half-marathons and my first full marathon in 2015.
